Linus Lin graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Bristol in 2013. He previously practised at two of Singapore’s largest firms, and completed his training contract under a Senior Counsel. He acts/assists with corporate and commercial disputes in the High Court, and has successfully argued interlocutory applications as lead counsel in the High Court and State Courts.

His representative matters include advising a global tax refund provider on claims against various merchants relating to breaches of GST Regulations; acting for a marine services provider in a claim for breach of contract and defending claims for alleged breaches brought against its former directors; acting for a leading local telecommunications company in a software multinational’s application for particulars of alleged users of unlicensed software; acting for an engineering services provider in a contractual dispute relating to a mobile offshore production unit in Sarawak; and successfully acting for a civil engineering multinational to discharge an injunction on a S$2 million construction bond. In 2017, he also successfully assisted to defend a Chinese State-Owned Enterprise in arbitration under the SIAC Rules against a S. Korean conglomerate trying to set aside various agreements on the grounds of economic duress.

He also practices non-contentious estate planning work by drafting Wills and certifying Lasting Powers-of-Attorney (LPA’s). Linus is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Hokkien, and is conversant in basic Japanese.
